Education and awareness
Raise awareness.
Understand.
Share knowledge.
Adolescence and the transition to adulthood are a pivotal time, marked by major physiological and hormonal changes and by heightened sensitivity to body image.
Several skin conditions can appear or worsen during this period, with effects that sometimes go well beyond the skin.
Young people at the heart of the project
With this in mind, Atlas Dermato works with high schools and CEGEPs to promote skin health literacy, foster a better understanding of skin diseases and help reduce their stigma among young people.
Through educational presentations and collaborative projects, students are invited to explore different skin conditions and to take an active part in creating awareness initiatives for their peers.
These collaborations put young people at the heart of sharing knowledge, raising awareness and community engagement in skin health.
